- EU in week ended July 3 awarded licences to import 30,000 MT of Ukrainian barley under an annual duty-free quota. The award meant that the EU had now awarded 121,171 MT out of a total volume of 250,000 MT available in 2015

- FranceAgriMer said 86% of France's winter barley crops were in good to excellent condition as of July 6 unchanged from previous week and vs. 74% a year ago. Spring barley g/e rating fall to 66% from 73% the prior week but in line with 66% a year ago. Harvesting of French winter barley was 85% complete, up from 47% a week earlier and above the 66% progress at the same point last year. Harvesting of spring barley was 3% complete vs. 1% a week ago and 1% a year ago

- FranceAgriMer matched the farm ministry's estimate for French 2015 total barley harvest of 11.7 MMT, little changed from last year's 11.8 MMT

- France AgriMer raises estimate of French 2014/15 barley ending stocks to 1.08 MMT from 0.96 MMT last month and vs. 1.04 MMT in 2013/14

- Ukrainian farmers harvested 4.5 MMT of all grains as of July 10, down from 9.5 MMT a year ago. Yields were at 3.08 mt/ha up from 2.96 mt/ha a year ago. Farmers harvested 2.4 MMT of barley vs. 3.9 MMT a year ago
