- Russian grain exports in July and August may be lower than previously expected after rain delayed harvesting. Russia's Ag Min might cut its grain crop forecast from the current 100 MMT if dry and hot weather persists in several regions. Farmers have already harvested 2.7 MMT of grain, down from 7.1 MMT a year ago as of July 3. Yields were at 3.85 mt/ha, up from 3.75 mt/ha a year ago

- Russia's Ag Min forecasts Russian 2015/16 (Jul-Jun) grain exports at 30.0 MMT compared with 30.508 MMT in the previous year and vs. 25.372 MMT in 2013/14, including 21.0 MMT of wheat vs. 21.703 MMT in 2014/15 and 18.297 MMT in 2013/14

- Weekly US wheat export sales data for week ended June 25 – 363,900 MT for 2015/16 (expected 250,000-500,000 MT)

- Informa Economics pegs US 2015 winter wheat crop at 1.477 billion bushels, with a yield of 44.3 bu. per acre. This compares to USDA's 1.505 billion bu forecast in June and last year's crop of 1.378 billion bu. Informa pegs US spring wheat crop at 606 million bu vs. 595 million bu in 2014, with a yield of 45.9 bu per acre

- Informa Economics trimmed its forecast of Canada's 2015/16 all-wheat crop to 29.8 MMT, down 2.5 MMT from last month

- FC Stone pegs the EU soft wheat crop at 140.7 MMT (149.5 MMT in 2014), which compares to the most recent Stratégie Grains estimate of 141.6 MMT

- EU in week ended June 30 granted licences to export 304 TMT of soft wheat, bringing the total this season to 31.337 MMT vs. 28.02 MMT a year ago

- FranceAgriMer, in a weekly update, rated 78% of soft wheat good or excellent as of June 29, down from 81% a week earlier but above 71% a year ago. Harvesting of soft wheat was under way in southern France, with 3% of the national area cut by June 29, marking an earlier start than last year. The smaller durum wheat harvest was 20% complete, accelerating from 1% the previous week and ahead of the 5% progress a year ago

- USDA's attaché in China lowered its 2015/16 wheat crop forecast by 2 MMT to 128 MMT

- Kazakhstan's grain exports fell to 6.444 MMT in 2014/15 versus 8.68 MMT in 2013/14. Kazakhstan's grain exports in the 2014/15 season included 2.393 MMT of flour in grain equivalent, compared with 2.866 MMT a year earlier

- South Korea's Agro-Fisheries&Food Trade Corp bought 15,000 MT of Chinese brown short rice from Daewoo International Corp at 893$/t for Nov 30 arrival

- Thailand lowered its forecast for this year's main-crop rice output by over 2 MMT to 24.135 MMT from its previous forecast of 26.576 MMT
