- Russia's Ag Min estimated Russian 2014/15 (Jul-Jun) barley exports almost doubled on year to 5.304 MMT vs. 2.705 MMT in 2013/14

- EU in week ended June 26 awarded licences to import 75,000 MT of Ukrainian barley under an annual duty-free quota. The award meant that the EU had now awarded 91,171 MT out of a total volume of 250,000 MT available in 2015

- EU in week ended June 30 granted licences to export 439 TMT of barley, bringing the total in 2014/15 to 9.099 MMT vs. 5.737 MMT a year ago

- FranceAgriMer said 86% of France's winter barley crops were in good to excellent condition as of June 29 vs. 85% a week ago and vs. 73% a year ago. Spring barley g/e rating fall to 73% from 79% the prior week but above 63% a year ago. Harvesting of French winter barley was 47% complete, up from 4% a week earlier and above the 34% progress at the same point last year.
