  • 2,350 MT of western/soft white wheat (max 8.5% protein) at 282.8 $/mt fob
  • 6,200 MT of hard red winter wheat (min 11.5% protein) at 230.55 $/mt fob
  • 11,250 MT of dark/northern spring (min 14% protein) at 260.85 $/mt fob

- June 19 - South Korea's Korea Flour Mills (KFMC) bought 23,050 MT of US wheat for Oct-Nov shipment

- June 18 - Japan bought 113,117 MT of food wheat for July-August shipment:

  • 14,160 MT of western white US wheat
  • 18,595 MT of hard red winter US wheat
  • 28,619 MT of dark northern spring US wheat
  • 24,363 MT of Canadian western red spring wheat
  • 27,380 MT of Australian standard white wheat

- June 17 - Taiwan Flour Miller Association bought 97,420 MT of US milling wheat for Aug-Sept shipment

- Russia signed an agreement with Nicaragua to supply 160,000 MT of wheat

- Weekly US wheat export sales data for week ended June 11 – 315,900 MT, incl. 315,700 MT for 2015/16 (expected 200,000-400,000 MT)

- Informa Economics estimates US spring wheat acres at 13.469 million, up 500,000 acres from USDA's March intentions. Using a 45.3 bu per acre yield projection, the firm projects a 596 million bu crop

- EU in week ended June 12 awarded licences to import remaining 22,771 MT of Ukrainian wheat under an annual duty-free quota. The award meant that the EU had now awarded full volume of 950,000 MT available in 2015

- EU in week ended June 16 granted licences to export 399 TMT of soft wheat, bringing the total this season to 30.672 MMT vs. 27.541 MMT a year ago

- Strategie Grains lowered its 2015/16 EU soft wheat crop forecast by 1 MMT to 141.6 MMT, which would be a 5% reduction from the previous year. Strategie Grains put EU soft wheat exports in the 2015/16 season that starts in July at 27.5 MMT, down 1.1 MMT from its previous estimate, but increased its estimate for the current 2014/15 season to 32.8 MMT, up 600,000 MT from last month. Higher exports, combined with a rise in expected wheat use in animal feed, lead the consultancy to cut by 1.1 MMT its estimate for EU soft wheat stocks at the end of the 2014/15 to 14.8 MMT

- Germany's association of farm co-operatives lowered its 2015/16 Germany wheat crop forecast to 25.77 MMT from 26.91 MMT a month ago, which would be a 7.2% reduction from the previous year

- FranceAgriMer cut its 2014/15 soft wheat ending stocks estimate by 600,000 MT from last month to 3.0 MMT, which is still up 26.9% from year ago. FranceAgriMer raised its forecast for soft wheat exports outside the EU by 500,000 MT to 11.1 MMT

- FranceAgriMer, in a weekly update, rated 85% of soft wheat good or excellent as of June 15, down from 87% a week earlier but above 72% a year ago

- Russia bought a total of 1.101 MMT of intervention grain between Sep 30, 2014- June 17, 2015, including wheat – 894,105 MT, barley – 113,650 MT and rye – 93,285 MT

- Russia's Ag Min said Russia exported about 29.626 MMT of grain between July 1 – June 17, 2014/15 vs. 25.101 MMT a year ago, including wheat – 20.997 MMT, barley – 5.231 MMT, corn – 2.922 MMT

- Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said on Friday he hoped a new Russian wheat export tax will be a short-term anti-crisis measure

- Russian grain stocks at 14.6 MMT as of June 1, up 26.2% from a year earlier

- Russia's Ag Min said farmers planted 13.4 MH of spring wheat through June 19, or 101.6% of the planned total planted area vs. 13.0 MH a year ago

- Russia's IKAR lowered its 2015 wheat crop forecast by 1 MMT to a range of 55 MMT to 59 MMT

- Kazakhstan's Ag Min said farmers planted 14.541 MH of spring cereal grains through June 18, or 99.5% of the planned total planted area vs. 14.637 MH (99.5%) a year ago

- Iran will cut its import of milling wheat by two thirds to 1.5-2 MMT in the year to March 2016 as a local production increases. Iran imported above 6 MMT last year

- AgCanada forecasted the total wheat production at 29.7 MMT, down from 30.1 MMT a month ago

- Ukrainian Ag Ministry forecasted new wheat crop at 24 MMT, with new crop exports initially estimated at 12.7 MMT
