- Vietnam has cut the export price floor for the 25% broken rice by 2.9% to 340 $/mt, after the country submitted the lowest price in a rice tender in the Philippines, with coming into effect on Monday. The Philippines agreed to buy 150,000 MT from Vietnam in a tender on Friday. Vietnam had raised the price floor to 350 $/mt on June 1 before the tender

- US agrochemicals firm Monsanto Co has offered to pay a $2 billion reverse break-up fee to Syngenta AG if it cannot obtain global regulatory approvals for an acquisition
