- FAO raised its forecast for world coarse grains production in 2015 by 10 MMT to 1300 MMT, mainly on improved prospects for maize (in China and Mexico) and sorghum (in the US). Despite this month's increase, world coarse grain production would remain 2%(26 MMT) smaller than in 2014, largely on account of lower projected maize and barley outputs

- AgRural said Brazil's second crop corn sales reached 48% at the end of May, compared to only 27% a year ago. However, the pace of sales for May was pretty slow as they had reached about 44% sold by the end of April

- US Ethanol production for the week ended May 29 was up 3,000 barrels to 972,000 barrels per day. Stocks were down 29,000 barrels to 20.07 million barrels
