- May 28 - Japan seeks 100,262 MT of food wheat for June-July shipment:

  • 13,820 MT of western white US wheat
  • 22,250 MT of hard red winter US wheat
  • 30,360 MT of dark northern spring US wheat
  • 33,832 MT of Canadian western red spring wheat

- U.S. wheat rose on Tuesday to recoup some of its losses from the previous session, as heavy rain across the southern Plains raised fears of potential crop damage

- May 26 - Russia bought 37,935 MT of intervention grain (wheat). Making the total bought since Sept 30 at 948,085 MT, including wheat – 741,150 MT, barley – 113,650 MT and rye – 93,285 MT

- IKAR estimated Black Sea forward prices for Russian new crop wheat, 12.5% protein, at 194 $/t fob at the end of last week, up $5 from a week earlier. It quoted prices for the old wheat crop at 195 $/t, while SovEcon quoted them at 192 $/t, up $2 from the previous week. IKAR also pegged prices for Russian new crop corn at 165 $/t
