  • 65,000 MT from Mitsui for July 5-24 shipment at a premium of 129 US cents a bushel c&f over the Chicago September corn contract
  • 65,000 MT from Cargill at 125.40 cents over the Chicago September contract for July 20 to Aug 8 shipment

- May 13 - Israel bought 68,000 MT of corn and 14,000 MT of feed barley

- May 12 - South Korean buyer (FLC) purchased 63,000 MT of optional-origin yellow corn in a direct deal at 187.39 $/mt c&f plus a 1.50 $/mt surcharge for extra port unloading for arrival around Dec 10. If sourced from the EU, the purchase can be reduced to 53,000 MT

- South Africa said it could import GMO corn from Brazil and Argentina

- Rosario Grain Exchange estimated Argentine maize crop at 25.7 MMT, unchanged from last month
