- Wheat Quality Council's annual tour estimated the Kansas hard red winter wheat production at 288.5 million bushels (7.85 MMT), above last year's official USDA output of 246.4 million bushels (6.7 MMT) but below the five-year crop tour average of 313.6 million bushels (8.53 MMT)

- Weekly US wheat export sales data for week ended Apr 30 – 298,600 MT, incl. a net cancellation of -148,200 MT for 2014/15 (expected -100,000-+100,000 MT) and 446,800 MT for 2015/16 (expected 300,000-600,000 MT)

- Customs data showed France exported 1.5 MMT of soft wheat outside the EU in March, the largest monthly volume so far in the July/June 2014/15 season

- Informa Economics cut its Indian wheat crop forecast 6 MMT, to 88 MMT, which would be the smallest since 2011

- Russia Ag Min said Russia exported about 27.853 MMT of grain between July 1 – May 6, 2014/15 vs. 23.344 MMT a year ago, including wheat – 20.008 MMT, barley – 4.96 MMT, corn – 2.441 MMT

- Russia's Ag Min said farmers planted 1.6 MH of spring wheat through May 8, or 12.1% of the planned total planted area vs. 1.9 MH a year ago

- Iraq has rejected all offers and made no purchase in an international tender for 30,000 MT of rice. The tender had closed on April 26 and offers had to remain valid until Apr 30
