- IGC decreased its 2015/16 global wheat estimate by 4 MMT to 705 MMT from last month's estimate and vs. last year's 721 MMT

- Egypt's government so far bought around 120,000 tons of wheat from local farmers, after one week of the start of the procurement season

- EU in week ended Apr 17 awarded licences to import 1,329 tons of Ukrainian wheat under an annual duty-free quota. The award meant that the EU had now awarded almost 377,755 tons out of a total volume of 950,000 tons available in 2015

- EU in week ended Apr 21 granted licences to export 679,000 tons of soft wheat, bringing the total this season to 27.102 MMT vs. 24.663 MMT a year ago
