WHEAT

- Russia’s Ag Min said Russia exported 24.3 MMT of grain between July 1-Nov 29, 2018/19, up 10.1% from 22 MMT a year ago, including:

  • wheat – 20.4 MMT (up 19.3% from year ago);
  • barley – 2.7 MMT (down by 9.7%);
  • corn – 856,000 MT (twice down)

- Russian grain stocks were at 47.6 MMT as of Nov 1, 2018, down 15.5% from a year earlier (56.4 MMT as of Nov 1, 2017). The data does not include grain stored at small farms

- Russia has 3,196,900 MT of grain in its federal intervention fund as of Nov 30 vs. 3,967,600 MT year ago

- FranceAgriMer estimated winter wheat planting 99% done as of Nov 25, matching last year’s pace. FranceAgriMer said that 82% of French soft wheat was in good to excellent condition, unchanged from a week earlier but down from 96% a year ago

CORN

- Nov 30 - Taiwan's MFIG bought 65,000 MT of US or Brazil corn from Dreyfus at a premium of 142.17 USc/bushel c&f over the Chicago May contract (207.54 USD/mt, c&f) for Feb 1-Mar 7 shipment

- FranceAgriMer estimated winter barley planting 100% done as of Nov 25. FranceAgriMer said that 76% of French winter barley crop was in good to excellent condition, unchanged from a week earlier but down from 96% a year ago

- China has confirmed a new African swine fever outbreak in Beijing

SOYBEAN

- Nov 30 - USDA announced export sales of 120,000 MT of US soybeans for delivery to unknown destinations during 2018/19

- Dec 11-12 - South Korea’s Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corp seeks a total 180,000 MT of non-GM soybeans for arrival in 2020 with one consignment sought for arrival in late 2019

- AgRural raised its estimate of Brazil's 2018/19 soybean harvest to 121.4 MMT from 120.3 MMT in a previous forecast

- According to Ukrainian Ag Min, farmers have completed this year's sunflower harvest with 13.8 MMT vs. 11.9 MMT in 2017

- According to Ukrainian Ag Min, farmers have completed this year's soybeans harvest with 4.4 MMT vs. 3.8 MMT in 2017

- In its first production outlook for next year's harvest, Strategie Grains projected EU rapeseed output at 20.0 MMT, just above an estimated 19.83 MMT this year, which was nearly 11% below the 2017 level

- Surveyor Intertek Testing Services estimated Malaysia's November 1-30 palm oil exports at 1,224,898 MT down 12.4% from a month ago

- Surveyor AmSpec Agri Malaysia estimated Malaysia's November 1-30 palm oil exports at 1,250,321 MT down 10.3% from a month ago

- Surveyor SGS estimated Malaysia's November 1-30 palm oil exports at 1,241,467 MT down 13% from a month ago

- GAPKI estimated Indonesia's October exports of palm oil and palm kernel oil at 3.14 MMT, up 5% from the previous month (2.99 MMT in Sept) and up 20.8% compared to Oct 2017 (2.6 MMT)
