The Egypt's state grain buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) on Tuesday, May 15, bought 60,000 MT of wheat from Ukraine for June 15-25 delivery:

  • 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat from Louis Dreyfus at 234.95 $/mt c&f (219.9 fob+15.05 freight)

It was 24 international tender since the start of the new fiscal year. GASC has bought 5.625 MMT (4.665 MMT from Russia, 660 TMT from Romania, 240 TMT from Ukraine and 60 TMT from France) of wheat on the international market since July 1, the start of the 2017/18

Traders said the following offers were submitted to GASC in the first round of the tender:

  • Louis Dreyfus: 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat at 219.90 $/mt fob
  • GTCS: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 225.00 $/mt fob
  • Ameropa: 2x60,000 MT of Romanian wheat, each at 226.99 $/mt fob

The best offers on C&F basis was as follows (USD/MT, C&F):

  1. Louis Dreyfus: 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat at 219.90+15.12=235.02 $/mt c&f
  2. GTCS: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 225.00+14.28=239.28 $/mt c&f
  3. Ameropa: 2x60,000 MT of Romanian wheat at 226.99+13.21=240.20 $/mt c&f
