Traders said the following offers were submitted to GASC in the first round of the tender on Friday, February 2, for March 5-15 delivery: (USD/MT, FOB):

  • GTCS: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 202.70 $/mt fob
  • AOS: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 204.40 $/mt fob
  • Daewoo: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 205.30 $/mt fob
  • Friends: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 206.60 $/mt fob
  • 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 207.70 $/mt fob
  • Cerealcom: 60,000 MT of Romanian wheat at 209.80 $/mt fob
  • Aston: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 210.00 $/mt fob
  • Cofco: 60,000 MT of Romanian wheat at 212.00 $/mt fob
  • ADM: 60,000 MT of Romanian wheat at 212.55 $/mt fob

The best offers on C&F basis was as follows (USD/MT, C&F):

  1. GTCS: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 202.70+15.48=218.18 $/mt c&f
  2. AOS: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 204.40+15.48=219.88 $/mt c&f
  3. Daewoo: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 205.30+15.48=220.78 $/mt c&f
  4. Friends: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 206.60+15.48=222.08 $/mt c&f

GASC lowered the protein requirements at the tender, reducing the minimum permissible level for Romanian, Russian and Ukraine origin wheat to 11.5% from 12%
