WHEAT

- Nov 16 - Jordan seeks 100,000 MT of optional-origin milling wheat for March-April shipment

- Nov 10 - Morocco’s ONICL bought 30,000 MT of US soft wheat for arrival by Dec 31 under an annual preferential-tariff quota, while it had passed on 327,000 MT of US durum

- Nov 13 - Argentina registered 30,703 MT of wheat for export

- Russia’s Ag Min said Russia exported about 17.508 MMT of grain between July 1-Nov 8, 2017/18, up by 24.9% from 14.017 MMT a year ago, including:

  • wheat – 13.533 MMT (11.239 MMT in 2016/17);
  • barley – 2.564 MMT (1.462 MMT);
  • corn – 1.305 MMT (1.245 MMT);
  • others – 106 TMT (70 TMT)

- Russia has 3,967,600 MT of grain in its federal intervention fund as of Nov 10 vs. 3,553,600 MT a year-ago

- CME Group is to launch next month Black Sea wheat and corn futures based on S&P Global Platts' price benchmarks. The cash-settled Black Sea Wheat FOB (Platts) and Black Sea Corn FOB (Platts) futures contracts will begin trading on Dec 18

CORN

- Dec 17 - Iran's SLAL seeks 200,000 MT of corn in four consignments for January-April shipment

- Dec 17 - Iran's SLAL seeks 200,000 MT of barley in four consignments for February-May shipment

- Nov 15 - Jordan seeks 100,000 MT of optional-origin feed barley for March-April shipment

- South Korea’s KFA (Korea Feed Association) made no purchase in its tender for 65,000 MT of optional-origin corn last week. The lowest offer was 188 $/mt c&f

- Nov 13 - Argentina registered for export 162,485 MT of corn and 23,000 MT of malt

- USDA attaché forecasts Saudi Arabia’s barley imports in 2017/18 at 7.8 MMT, 700,000 MT less than USDA’s official estimate but from the 2016/17 estimate of 7.6 MMT (9.5 MMT is USDA's official estimate for 2016/17)

SOYBEAN

- Nov 13 - USDA said private exporters sold 135,000 MT of US soymeal to the Philippines for delivery in 2017/18

- Nov 13 - Argentina registered for export 10,000 MT of soybeans and 16,800 MT of soybean oil

- GAPKI estimated Indonesia's September exports of palm oil and palm kernel oil at 2.757 MMT, down 7.5% from the previous month (2.98 MMT in Aug) but up 59% compared to Sept 2016 (1.73 MMT)

- Singapore's Wilmar International Ltd posted a 6% fall in third-quarter net profit as stronger performance in its oilseeds and grains division was offset by lower results in the tropical oils and sugar businesses
